SWTVC wishlist wednesday

Whether you’re on Arvala-7, Ryloth, or the forest moon of Endor, there’s only one way to ride in style: blurrgs! This month for #TVCWishlistWednesday, we’re focusing on some of the most-requested items and themes that have yet to make it into The Vintage Collection. Despite appearances in every major Star Wars TV project—including The Bad Batch, just last week!—we still don’t have a 3.75” scale blurrg.

As Hasbro builds out their offerings from The Mandalorian to coincide with the shipping of the HasLab Razor Crest this fall, bringing us awesome items like IG-11 and the Nevarro cantina, the blurrg is one of the most glaring omissions (alongside season one Greef Karga, the Client, a remnant speeder bike…sorry, where were we?). We finally have Kuiil making his Vintage Collection debut later this year, but no noble steed for him to ride.

Hasbro did create a Mission Fleet version this year, packed with Kuiil and priced at $14.99. It’s a simple, small creature with exaggerated cartoon styling and oversized holes to mount a rocket launcher, so it’s a fun toy but not quite a realistic replica for TVC fans. However, its mere existence on retail shelves means that somebody somewhere said “yes, we would like to sell this blurrg in our stores.” In fact, the Mission Fleet version is getting another shot at retail later this year packed in with Din Djarin and a remnant stormtrooper. A TVC version would undoubtedly cost significantly more than a Mission Fleet version, of course, but packed in with a Mandalorian figure (who is still in high demand and way too short supply) would ensure that this creature would sell. Hot Toys is also selling their own version direct to consumers, available in three different offerings and set to ship a little under a year from now. But if Hasbro can figure out a way to get a blurrg to retail twice, hopefully the third time’s the charm for The Vintage Collection.

How many Vintage Collection blurrgs would YOU buy?
